“We look before and after, and pine for what is not.” This was my favorite quote when I was in high school. At that time, we seemed to be never feel content or satisfied about ourselves. The pressure was not just came from within but also from the eyes of the beholders surrounded us. Thus, I reminded myself again and again not to “pine for what is not”.
Not anything that is not meant to be. Not anything will not come surely. Not someone, not something or some emotions or feelings. The only left is the anticipation of un-expected and the surprises. When it finally comes in my way, I would sense it, recognize it and cherish the moment when it is happening.
